Role Models

Okay, so I didn't need much persuasion to go and see this film - Paul Rudd is one of my favourite actors right now, and who doesn't like Stifler? Anyway. The adverts did their job and reeled me in, and I have to be honest, I was quite taken aback by how the film actually panned out. It was brilliant - the acting in it was awesome, but the way that the story went left me guessing and hoping, something that is rare with the normally predicatable mainstream catalogue of films nowadays. The wide range of characters left you with someone to relate to, and I felt myself emphasizing with the young guy who likes to dress up and role play. The humour in the movie is top-notch, but the story actually develops and you find your relationship with each character deepening. On the surface, this is just a hilarious movie; but delve deeper and you'll find the hidden plot of how everybody is in the same boat, no matter how different we are. Great film.

5/5
